Maryland

Family Choice Healthcare is proud to provide professional home care services to aging seniors in Maryland.  Since 1996, we have been a leader in quality home care to senior and disabled clients with a variety of circumstances and needs.

What is In-Home Care?

In-home care is compassionate, non-medical care that allows your loved ones to live safely and comfortably at home as they age in place.  Our Personal Care Attendants provide assistance with daily activities, respite care for caregivers, recovery at home after a fall or illness and even long-distance caregiving.  They are also able to assist with some specific medical protocols, such as taking medication and physical therapy.

The Family Choice Healthcare Difference

We recognize that there are many options for in-home care and home health care in Bowie, Maryland and it can be difficult to choose which home care agency will be the right fit.

With over 20 years of experience as a leading senior home care provider, the Family Choice Healthcare mission is to provide top quality compassionate and customized care in order to bring balance and peace to both the senior and their family.  Our ultimate goal is simple: to provide your loved ones with high quality in-home care for as long as possible.

Home Care vs In-Home Care vs Home Health Care

While these terms all describe health services provided to seniors in their homes, there are a few main differences.  The biggest difference is in the types of home health care services that each provides:

  • Home health care provides medical senior care, including diagnosis or treatment as well as medical advice.
  • In-home care, or home care, provides comprehensive non-medical senior care to help elderly people with essential day-to-day activities in the comfort of their home.

We also provide long-distance caregiving, which offers support and peace of mind for those whose loved ones do not live nearby. To learn more about the differences, including specific services, costs and paying for each type, and the length/frequency of care, check out our blogs on In-Home Care vs. Home Health Care, or give us a call to schedule your free phone consultation at 888.358.1341 .
